A recent national survey amongst non-churchgoers produced some interesting comments. Answers to one particular question caused much amusement and at the same time startled those who are churchgoers.

The question was, "What do you think happens inside Christian churches on Sundays?"

Answers were wide ranging, but the general view was that whatever activities did take place, they were either boring or irrelevant.

Oaklea Chapel tries to cater for all tastes and last September we launched a new event designed especially for adults. Billed as "Open House." It is an informal, relaxed occasion of friendship and pleasure when we can enjoy each others' company and consider topics of every day importance.

Each "Open House" programme is different and may include a selection of comments, competitions, debates, music, poetry and video clips, blended together to make Sunday evening special for all age groups.

Folks arrive early for a prompt 6:20pm start and refreshments are served about an hour later.

YOU can be assured of a warm welcome if you join us on the FIRST SUNDAY EVENING OF ANY MONTH AT "OPEN HOUSE."

See the Diary page for the date of the next Open House!
