Liverpool Cafe Outreach by (10 October 2004)
This is a cafe open for the use of homeless, rough sleepers and students. It is at 20 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool. It was started by Steve Cossack in 2003. One of our members, Paul Holloway, along with Steve Cossack run this along with several other volunteers.

Since the day of opening over 10,000 breakfasts have been served as well as tea and coffee. There is a simple gospel service on a Sunday followed by toast and tea. Also on a Tuesday there is a gospel meeting at 6pm followed by a cooked meal. Most of the people that come suffer from addiction problems relating to hard drugs and alcohol. This often manifests itself in mental illness of various degrees. Many of them sleep rough.

This is a practical way of showing Jesus' love and compassion to people who are often outcasts and forgotten.
